Pétunia, vue de deux côtés

Compare and contrast. Petunia, Rose's daughter was sitting between us at the table. Despite my obvious mistakes, it turned out not badly, however, I have an obvious problem with eyes.
Rose, on the other hand, does not draw at all, yet produced this wonderful portrait. Note the superior eyes. I will have to take note.

Rose Repose


This was a five-minute sketch done the other night. She was rather groggy, and I think I captured it fairly well. I want to do other things with it, such as a pen version, or an inked version.

Isabelle, par Petunia


This was done by Petunia, Rose's daughter. The subject, Isabelle Gagnon-Zeberg, owner of the new and popular tea house Une Grenouille dans la Théière, posed for Petunia and everything. Note the positioning of the legs and everything. I could not have done better with the foreshortening myself.

Corine


Again, I was having a lot of problems. Expert said that her head was too big, which is true. She also said that her left leg was too short. I dunno about that. I am rather satisfied with it, though I do plan on redoing this with the properly proportioned head.

Corine will likely be the last nude live model I will have for a while, as the classes at the Artotheque are taking a break for the rest of the summer.

Another, less serious attempt at capturing Marie. Another drawing that I really don't like. Notice the big eyes. She had biggish eyes, but not like this. I think that I will struggle with this as long as I draw, to be honest. It's a common enough problem, I think.
